She was predeceased by: her parents, Merl Mallatt and Elva Mallatt (Boyes); her husband George Howell; her stepdaughter Dianne Turtenwald; her daughter Judy Duden (Steve); her sister Mary Stapleton; her grandchildren, Bryan Dale (Alessandra) and Angela Dale of Northglenn, CO; and her great grandchildren, Brynley Kathryn Dale and Arianna Kathryn Dale.
She is survived by: her stepdaughters, Connie Rosemeyer of Madison, WI and Georgia Schultz of Fennimore, WI. She is also survived by several step grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Derfelt Funeral Home - Galena (1116 S Main St, Galena, KS 66739). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 10:30 AM at the First Christian Church (919 S Main St, Galena, KS 66739).
