The memory of Irene Ellen McCool of Galena, Kansas, born in Lanagan, Missouri, who passed away on September 28, 2024 at the age of 92, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her husband Forrest William McCool; her children, Forrest Benjamin McCool, William Ray McCool, Cleta Miller and Charlotte Babineau; and her siblings, Jesse Lewis Charles, John Albert Charles, Sr., Billy Joe "Bill" Charles, James Leslie "Jim" Charles, Richard Allen "Rick" Charles and Letha Maxine Charles.
She is survived by: her children, Mark McCool (Jeannie) of Galena and Linda Willems of Baxter Springs. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 2nd 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Empire Mission Church (1011 N Columbus St, Galena, KS 66739). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 2nd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
