With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Cleta Gale Chappell of Galena, Kansas, born in Goodman, Missouri, who passed away on February 24, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her siblings, Geneva Beaver, Fern Ash, Billie Gideon, Alva Bellamy, Don Bellamy, Larry Bellamy and Joy Dudley (Dude).
She is survived by: her children, Timothy Beers (Angie), Beth Curtis (Steven), Derenda Shoemaker (Wes), Steven Chappell (Carrie) and Jan Nye (Bill); and her grandchildren, Josh, Jamie, Stefani, Mallory, Jonathan, Gabe, Gracie, Stephanie, Billy, Katherine, Matthew and Steven. She is also survived by 26 Great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 2nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Galena First Baptist Church (718 Euclid St, Galena, KS 66739). A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 2nd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
