He is survived by: his wife Karen Dancy; his children, Tammy Brownback (Keith) of Centerville, Belynda Davenport of Fort Scott, Robin Anderson (Rob) of Wichita, Kari Messer (Josh) of Fort Scott, Jodi Silva (Paul) of Manhattan, Kansas., Rick Stewart (Cara) of El Dorado and Jimmy Turner of Fort Scott; his grandchildren, Brett Brownback (Taryn), Kaylee Clifton (Timmy), Annyssa Davenport, Cooper Anderson, Jadyn Messer, Brady Messer, Lyla Silva, Karsen Silva, Anastasia Stewart, Harley Thornton and Briar Thornton; his great grandchildren, Kyser Brownback and Remy Brownback; and his sisters, Jeanette Church (Robbie) of Xenia and Carol Didier (Tom) of Wheatland, Missouri.. He is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
