He was predeceased by: his parents, Ignacio Marquez and Mary Marquez (Alonzo); his former wife Eleanor "Ellie" Negrete Marquez; and his siblings, Manuel Marquez, Jose Marquez, Rose Morales and Juanita Sanchez.
He is survived by: his granddaughter Carolyn; his wife Carolyn J. Marquez of Frontenac, KS; his children, Paul A. Marquez (Sharon) of Independence, KS, Catherine R. Marquez-Amaro (Alfredo) of Wichita, KS and Jane A. Marquez of Pittsburg, KS; his stepchildren, Douglas B. Girth (Rita) of Frontenac, KS, Teena J. Lero Girth of Frontenac, KS and Dana D. Curtiss (Paul) of Overland Park, KS; his grandchildren, Sierra Marquez, Rindy Marquez, Qwynn Marquez, Piper Marquez and Ellynae Amaro; and his stepgrandchildren, Ana Fancher (Cliff), Nicole Girth, Tyler Lero, Nicolas and Lukas Curtiss. He is also survived by four step great-grandchildren.
