He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Hanney and Irene Hanney; his sister Joan Adele; and his son Brian Evan. He is survived by: his wife Alyce; his sons, Jere Alan (Judy), Mark Steven and Paul Earnest (Darlene Brown); his grandchildren, Jack DeWayne Hanney and Franchesca Brown-Hanney (Pittsburg); and his great grandchildren, Benjamin, Ellie and Henry of Columbia, MO. He is also survived by nephews and nieces.
