With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carolyn J. Marquez of Frontenac, Kansas, who passed away on October 9, 2023 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Spragg and Tena Cicero Swank; and her grandson Nicolas Curtiss. She is survived by: her former husband James Girth; her husband Salvador Marquez (Sal); her sister Jamie Hausher of Tulsa, OK; her children, Douglas Girth (Rita) of Frontenac, KS., Teena Girth-Lero of Frontenac, KS and Dana Curtiss (Paul) of Overland Park, KS.; her stepchildren, Paul Marquez (Sharon), Jane Marquez and Cathy Amaro (Alfredo); her grandchildren, Nicole Girth, Ana Fancher (Cliff), Tyler Lero and Lukas Curtiss; her stepgrandchildren, Sierra Mazour (Tanner), Rindy, Qwynn, Piper Marquez and Ellynae Amaro; and her great grandchildren, Taylor, Keaton Lero, Beckett, Luca and Emme Fancher.

The family suggests memorials to Sacred Heart Catholic Church Building Fund.
