He is survived by: his children, David Compton of Fredonia, Linda Winn (Dayne) of Newnan and Roger Compton (Karen) of Fredonia; and his brothers, Bob Compton (Mary) of LaFontaine, Ben Compton (Marilyn) of Fredonia and Dan Compton (Betty Lu) of Manhattan. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
