He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther "Big Boy" Trimmell and Thelma Trimmell (Ware); and his siblings, Hyla Bacon, LeRoy Trimmell and Robert Trimmell.

He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Haun; his children, Janice Trimmell of Overland Park, KS, Brenda Huelsman (Keith) of Andover, KS and Ron Trimmell (Robin) of Greenwood Co, KS; his grandchildren, Clay Trimmell, Caycee Russell (Nick), Sara Oliver (Thor), Ryan Rohrdanz (Stephenie), Brice Huelsman (Callan) and Bridget Pullos (Seth); and his brother Norman (June Trimmell). He is also survived by eight great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Coyville Community Center.
