He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Arthur and Dorothy Mae Clemans Compton; his wife Mary C. Troutman; his brothers, Jerry and Bill Compton; and his sisters-in-law, Betty Lu Compton and Shirley Walters.
He is survived by: his children, Sherrie Steele, Teresa Compton, Marcia Cline (Ed) and Craig Compton; his brothers, Ben Compton (Marilyn) and Dan Compton; his siblings-in-law, Nadine Compton, Nancy Compton and Don Walters; his grandchildren, Kevan Steele (Shala), Kristin Cline, Kendall Cline, Amber Gregory and Amber Bair (Jay); his great grandchildren, Ciera Seaboldt (Kody), Wyatt Perry, Calle Perry, Dillon Steele, Kinley Steele, Jaydon Cline, Hadley Cline, Tia Gregory and Tucker Gregory; and his great great grandchild Kash Seaboldt.
