He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Shay (Bob) and Irene Shay (Palmer). He is survived by: his former spouse Kaila Shinkle; his wife Karla Petersen of Fredonia; his daughters, Danielle Guffey (Dillion) and Marcy Shay of Fredonia; his granddaughters, Aubree and River Guffey; and his half-brother Steve Bass. He is also survived by cousins and dear friends.
