It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kathryn Louise Holmes of Fredonia, Kansas, who passed away on December 5, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Kathryn Stallard Frame and Howard Morrison Frame. She is survived by: her children, Dee Holmes (Cindy) of Fredonia, Dr. Darin Holmes (Liz) of Fredericksburg and Mendy Mitchell (Randy) of Grand Prairie, Texas.; her grandchildren, Randy Tindle (Ashley), Jennifer DePriest, Tresslie McGraw, Cody Holmes (Andrea), Scott Mitchell, Sarah Stodghill (Murphey) and Sam Mitchell; and her great grandchildren, Alira Trease, Ava Tindle, Abriel Trease, Katherine Tindle, Arien Trease, Thaddeus Tindle, Brandon DePriest, Ainsely Holmes, Titus Tindle, Arlon Holmes, Ezekiel, William Tindle, Ayla Holmes and Tevin McGraw.
Louise was also deeply involved with several organizations such as the Fredonia Library Board, Fredonia Child Care Center, Sacred Heart Parish Council, Wilson County Historical Society, Gold Dust Inc, and the Fredonia Players, among others, demonstrating her contribution to the cultural fabric of her community.
