He was predeceased by: his father Lawrence "Butch" Cox; his grandparents, Lawrence "Shorty", Colleene Cox, Bud and Irene Clary; his uncle Joe Cox; and his aunt Lynnea Cox.

He is survived by: his mother Sandra Cox (Clary) of Fredonia; his pets, Tina, Rocco and Mason; his wife Sandy Miner; his children, Austin Farmer (Tanya Hartley) of Fredonia and Torie Livermore (Bryer) of Garden City; his grandchildren, Teigann and Baylor; his brother Jeff Cox (Jennifer) of Fredonia; and his nephew Thatcher Cox of Fredonia.
