He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis W. Cunningham and Helen Cunningham (Shue); his former wife Wanda McCarty; his daughters, Krista Cunningham and Shelly O'Neal; and his brother Terry Cunningham.

He is survived by: his wife Ronda Walker; his children, Ronda Culbertson (Joey), Terry Cunningham (Nancy) and Tony Cunningham (Mindy) of Fredonia, KS; and his siblings, Larry Cunningham (Sherry), Tom Cunningham (Janice), Tim Cunningham (Sherri), Rick Cunningham (Dee), Marilyn Kimzey, Debby Reed, Kristy Lee (Larry), Tony Cunningham (Jackie) and Randy Cunningham (Lena) of Overland Park, KS.
