She was predeceased by: her parents, Omie Charles and Irma June Spohn (Malin); and her son Gerald Dean "Gary" Fortner, Jr.. She is survived by: her former husband Gerald Dean Fortner; her husband Neal William Bernauer; her children, Paula "Renee" Knox (Forrest) of Altoona, KS, Richard "Rick" Charles Fortner (Kathy) of Shawnee, KS, Russel Jay Fortner (Amparo) of Shawnee, KS, David Michael Bernauer of Wichita, KS, Steven Darren Bernauer of Fredonia, KS and Darren Michael Bernauer (Michele) of Oklahoma City, OK; and her sisters, Janice Barrow of Brooksville, FL and Pamela Spohn of Parsons, KS. She is also survived by 27 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
