He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Hayes and Zelma Hayes (Disney); his wife Opal Laura Snyder "Shorty"; his daughter Kathryn Ann; his great grandchild Kathryn Nichoil Swearingen; and his siblings, George, Emma Jean Ehlers and Rosemary Diggins.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Sheila Swearingen and Jeromy Dillman; his great grandchildren, Catin, Hope, Nathaniel and Andrea; his great great grandchildren, Kylah and Kash; and his sister Yvonne Heinrichs (Tim). He is also survived by his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
