He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Austin and Minnie Belle Knight (Kline); his wife Erma; and his siblings, Willard, Francis, Wendell, Enid, Thelma, Kenneth, Maurine, Harold, Carolyn and H. Roger. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the U.'s. National Cemetery (900 E National Ave, Fort Scott, KS 66701).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to American Legion Charities or Medical Lodge of Fort Scott.
