It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sharon A. Rains (Fort Scott, Kansas), born in Cherokee, Oklahoma, who passed away on November 7, 2019, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Anna Hayes Martin and Loren Martin; her parents-in-law, Edgar Rains and Eva Rains; and her stepmother Maxine Martin.
She is survived by: her former husband Ronald Lee Rains; her husband Ron; her children, Jill Evans (Chris) of Louisburg, KS and Shannon Rains; her grandchildren, Bethany Phillips, Jordan Phillips, Kylie Rains and Robert Rains; her siblings, Loren L. Martin (Patty) and Maryn K. Wiggins; and also Pastor Edgar Rains. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the First United Methodist Church of Fort Scott.
