It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Cowen (Fort Scott, Kansas), who passed away on February 28, 2018, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his parents, John Harold and Gladys Cowen (Emmerson); his spouse Freda Elaine Bentley; his sons, Wayne Cowen (Beverly) of Fort Scott, Kenton Cowen of Fort Scott, Bradley Cowen (Joyce) of Fort Scott and Larry Cowen (Sondra) of Fort Scott; and his sisters-in-law, Phyllis Ward (Harold) of Wichita and Jolene Clark of Belton. He is also survived by grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
