He is survived by: his wife Janise; his children, Sarah Thurston, Adam Thurston (Nicki), Leigh McCoy (Jeff) and Debra Schlender; his granddaughter Kyla Schlender; and his sisters, Marsha Koppa (George) and Cindy Mumbower (James Hawkins). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
