He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Marvin and Geneva Francis Taylor (Hall); his stepfather Kenneth Blake; and his siblings, Richard Taylor and Joyce Ziegler.

He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Nell Bloesser; his sons, Marvin Lee Taylor, Jr. of Dallas and Evan Randall "Randy" Taylor (Kayla) of Fort Scott; his siblings, Leanna Taylor of Fort Scott, Nancy Holt of Uniontown, Kansas and Kenny Blake (RoAnn) of Redfield, Kansas; his grandchildren, Dayton Lee Taylor (Lauren) of Manhattan, Kyle Mitchell of Fort Scott, Courtney Shelton of Fort Scott and Jackson Marlow of Fort Scott; and his nieces and nephews, Rick Taylor, Bill Taylor, Quentin Taylor, Lisa Ziegler, Dennis Ziegler, Chad Holt, Bryan Holt, Kerri Snyder and Eric Shoemaker.

Memorial contributions may be made to Post 25 American Legion or First Southern Baptist Church, and may be left in the care of the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home, 15 W. Wall Street, P.O. Box 309, Fort Scott, Kansas, 66701.
