It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marita L. Bigelow (Fort Scott, Kansas), who passed away on November 30, 2021, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Marita L. Bigelow to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Preston "Pete" Lafayette and Dorothy Lavella Barr (Pottorff); her husband Galen C. Bigelow, Sr.; and her brother Darrel Barr. She is survived by: her children, Michelle McKay (Eric) of Fort Scott, Teresa Fly (David) of Fort Scott, Galen C. Bigelow, Jr. (Trena) of Elsmore and William "Bill" Bigelow (Michelle) of Moran, Kansas; her siblings, Joe Barr (Rita) of Fort Scott, Charlotte Stewart (Alan) of Iola and Charlene Keating (John) of Fort Scott; and her sister-in-law Janice Barr. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
