It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joy R. Bourdess (Fort Scott, Kansas), born in Overland Park, Kansas, who passed away on December 7, 2023, at the age of 52, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her parents, Richard Dale Edwards and Dona Floy Edwards (Brillhart); her husband Michael Bourdess; her son James Bourdess of Overland Park, Kansas; and her siblings, Christopher Edwards of Geneva, Illinois and Dawn Bayless of Shawnee. She is also survived by eight nieces and five nephews.
