She was predeceased by: her parents, Ruth Lucille Hotchkiss and Neal George Hotchkiss; her son Robert Brock; and her sister Marilyn Rice (Hotchkiss). She is survived by: her siblings, Gene Hotchkiss (Kari) and Janis (Hotchkiss) Grandon (Dennis); her sister-in-law Bonnie Sheldon (Brock); her niece Joanne Waldner (Bruce) of Dennard Arkansas; her nephew Brian Brock of Independence Missouri; her granddaughter Amy Smith (Mike) of Fort Scott Kansas; her great grandchildren, Devin Brooks (Alanna) of Joplin Missouri, Gavin Smith of Quapaw Oklahoma, Alyx Bennie (Jozua) of Saint Joseph Missouri and Emily Smith of Fort Scott Kansas; and her pet Tucker.

Since Joneal was so active in her church, the family suggests memorials to be made to Emanuel Baptist Church.
