With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John William Read of Fort Scott, Kansas, who passed away on March 25, 2024 at the age of 68. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Marion "Cisco" Read and Ruth Louise Groner Read. He is survived by: his wife Paula Read; his children, David Charles Read (Jessica) of Carl Junction, MO and Carrie Louise Read Lord (Heath) of Uniontown, KS; his grandchildren, Isabel Neva Read of Carl Junction, MO, Isaiah William Read of Carl Junction, MO, Krystal Raye Lord of Chanute, KS and McKenna Mae Lord of Uniontown, KS; his great grandchild Bexley Raye Shelton of Chanute, KS.; and his siblings, Chuck Read, Becky Grounds, Brenda Read, Julie Smith, Carol Read, Joyce Swearingen and Rose Gauthier. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
