We are sad to announce that on September 14, 2022, at the age of 93, James Raymond Bahr of Fort Scott, Kansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Henry Bahr and Lydia Ott Bahr; his stepmother Emma Reber Bahr; his wife Ruth M. Banwart; his children, Teresa Bahr of Ft. Scott, Judy Schlatter (Phil) of Leo, Indiana, Jerry Bahr (Maria) of Ft. Scott and Larry Bahr of Deerfield, Missouri; his grandchildren, Anna Carpenter (Kyle), Adrienne Kellenberger (Ryan), Jared Bahr, Andrew Schlatter (Corrie), Simon Schlatter (Abby), Heather Self (Ben), Austin Bahr and Kendra Bahr; his former wife Annabelle Strahm; and his daughter-in-law Julie Bahr. He was also cherished by six great-grandchildren.

Memorials are suggested to the Ft. Scott Apostolic Christian Church and may be left in care of the Cheney Witt Chapel, 201 S. Main, P.O. Box 347, Ft. Scott, KS 66701.
