He was predeceased by: his parents, Willis Peterson and Verna Likely Peterson; and his siblings, Rainbow, Pat and Bill.

He is survived by: his wife Edith Hopkins; and his siblings, Mary Lou Schafer, Marge Madison, Sissy Mall, Frank and Von. He is also survived by numerous relatives and friends.

Memorials are suggested to the First Baptist Church and may be left in care of the Cheney Witt Chapel.
