He was predeceased by: his parents, William Andrew Zimmerman and Eda Mae Fuller Zimmerman; his wife Wilma Turner; and his siblings, Elmer Zimmerman, Shelby Zimmerman, Elsie Foster and Wilma Mitchell.

He is survived by: his sons, Doyle Zimmerman (Rebecca), Donathan Zimmerman (Ruth) of Tolar, TX, David Zimmerman (Teresa) of Ft. Scott and Darel Zimmerman (Crystal) of Ft. Scott. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren.
