He is survived by: his parents, Donald Wayne Elkins and Sherry Lynne Hunt Elkins; his children, Samantha Elkins of Nevada, Brandon Elkins of Portland, Britney Elkins of Ft. Scott, Jessica Perkins of Emerald Isle and Justin Perkins of Bakersfield, California.; and his sisters, Melissa Gurule of Ft. Scott and Teresa Salazar of Ft. Scott. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
