He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Leo Johnson and Esther A. Swartz Johnson; his children, Doug Johnson and Regina Kay Johnson; and his siblings, Jerry Johnston and Claribel Kerrick.
He is survived by: his wife Kathy Harper Underwood; his daughters, Tabitha Hamersley (David) of Nevada, Diana Heckman (Jerry) of Fulton and Julia Brown (Keith) of Ft. Scott, Kansas; his grandchildren, Stephanie Lilley (Bradley), Dr. Chad Johnson (Becca), Trenton Johnson, Catherine Johnson, Landon Johnson, Gabriel Hamersley, Opal Heckman (Kyle), Whitney Heckman, Ashley Rodriguez, Jerad Heckman (Andi), Jenny Heckman (Kaden), Lily Brown and Alex Brown; and his brother Roger Johnson. He is also survived by twenty-one great-grandchildren.
