She was predeceased by: her parents, John Eugene Hurd and Flossie Eva Hall Hurd; her husband Ed Brind; her grandson Joseph Johnson; and her siblings, Harold "Dutch" Hurd, Johnny Hurd, Willis "Doc" Hurd and Marilyn Fowler.
She is survived by: her children, Sherri Johnson of Ft. Scott, Steve Johnson of Salina, Twila Russell of Joplin and Kelly Black of Ft. Scott; and her stepson Eric Brind of Springfield. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
