He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy Hefner (Fowler) and Lane Hefner; and his stepgrandchildren, Caitlyn Shaw and Jon Mills. He is survived by: his sons, Wes Jr. (Tina) of London, Kentucky, Rod (Julie) of DeSoto, Kansas and Scott (Veronica) of Dodge City; his stepchildren, Connie Dunham (Jeff) of Breckenridge and Kelly Shaw (Tracy) of Dodge City; his grandchildren, Shane Hefner (Suzie) of Overland Park, Alex Hefner of Kansas, Hill, Justin Hefner, Virginia, Jordan Hefner (Madi) of Richmond, Kentucky and Lucas Hefner (Bailey) of Cimarron, Kansas; his stepdaughter Zoe Shaw of Wichita, Kansas; his stepgrandson Steven (Tori Mills) of Monroe; and his great grandchildren, Cadence and Jordan (JoJo).
Memorials are suggested to Children's Mercy Hospital or Ford County Humane Society in care of the funeral home.
