She was predeceased by: her father John H. "Jack" Smith; and her stepfather R. G. Snyder. She is survived by: her mother Norma Snyder (Johnston); her husband Les Stout; her children, Benjamin Stout (Regina), Andrea Kirkwood (Brendel), Beki Williamson (Chris) and Jessica Stout; and her siblings, Larry Smith, Kim Conley (Dan) and Angela Dow. She is also survived by her mother, Norma Snyder, California; 8 grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in care of Minnis Mortuary, 1901 N. 14th Ave., Dodge City, Kansas 67801.
