He was predeceased by: his parents, George Gillard and Margaret Gillard (Boggio); his daughter-in-law Kimberly Gillard; and his siblings, Donnis "Little" Gillard, Billy Gillard and Wilma Twarog.
He is survived by: his wife Beverly J. Pile; his sons, George Gillard (Tracey) of Farlington, Mark Gillard of Drexel, Michael Gillard (Kathy) of Stillwell and Gary Weimer (Susan) of Peculiar, Missouri; his grandchildren, Courtney, Nathan, Jessica, Andy, Austin, Ericka and Ashley; and his brother Dennis "Big" Gillard (Gail) of Girard. He is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the United Methodist Church in Stillwell, Kansas.
