She was predeceased by: her parents, Claud Milton and Alice Geneva Gipe (Benson); her spouse Pat Burke; her brother Don Gipe; her grandson Blake Shinkle; and her great grandchild Anna Mae Bross.
She is survived by: her children, Cary Shinkle (Marla) of Fall River, Randy Shinkle (Sandy) of Fall River, Jeana Tharp (Kenny) of Fredonia, Kansas. and Kaila Shinkle (Luke) of Fredonia, Kansas.; her sister Vera Verge (Tom) of Pensacola; and her sister-in-law Twila Lesley of Pacolet.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Wickham Family Funeral Home - Fredonia (510 N 7th St, Fredonia, KS 66736). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Weakley Cemetery.
