He was predeceased by: his parents, Grover Thomas and Alta Thomas (Ghrist); his wife Elizabeth Irma Penner; his siblings, Bob Thomas and Estele Wilson; and his brothers-in-law, Leo Welch and Lawrence Wilson.
He is survived by: his son Jon Thomas (Shannon); his sister Mary Viola "Vi" Welch; and his sister-in-law Beulah Thomas. He is also survived by granddaughter.
