He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Powe and Elsie Powe (Miller); his brothers, John and Wilbur Powe; his son John Powe; his grandson Ted Powe; and his stepdaughter Kim Burtin.
He is survived by: his former wife Dorothy Lesher; his wife Glynda Jackson; his children, Ronald Powe of Riverside, California, Matthew (Gina Powe) of Iola and Sharon (Walter Adams) of Kansas City, Kansas; and his stepdaughters, Paula (Tony Milner) of Emporia and Sherry Trevino of Corpus Christi, Texas. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made to the Greenwood County Hospital Foundation.
