He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Robert, Sr. and Betty Violet Repstine (Scott). He is survived by: his wife Kathy Winona Ussery; his children, Angela (Dustin Randolph) of Wichita and Robert (Danica Repstine) of El Dorado; his grandchildren, Seanna and Ruby; and his sister Barbara Mistler of Benton.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to WildTrust (Kansas Wildlife and Parks).
