He was predeceased by: his parents, Lyle Birney and Violet Marion Welsh (Runnells); his son Kevin Welsh; and his sister Mary Lamb. He is survived by: his spouse Beverly Teegardin; his children, Sheryl Welsh of Burlington, Keith (Megan Welsh) of Dodge City, Amy (Ashley Schouten) of Piedmont and Derek Welsh of Burlington; his grandchildren, Brooke Lewis, Hailey Schouten, Judd Schouten, Gavin WelshSchouten, Lydia Lewis, Hannah Welsh, Landon Lewis, Lizzy Foth, Caleb Welsh, Abbi Foth, Annalynn Welsh, Gareth Welsh, Ruger Schouten and Diesel Welsh; and his siblings, Joe (Lynn Welsh) of Eureka, Dwayne (Dana Williams) of Fall River and Marilee (Kevin McCoy Eureka).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the VFW Post 2712 of Eureka.
