It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lew Bitler of Eureka, Kansas, who passed away on April 15, 2022, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Lester and Lois Marie Bitler (Teter); and his sister Barbara Beitz. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Sue Hosler; his children, Kim (Garry Fritts) of Ottawa, Eric (Karen Bitler) of Eureka, Gina (James Slayden) of Emporia and Lori (John Rickman) of Branson, Missouri; his grandchildren, Amanda (Brad Whitsell), Whitney (Brandon Blanco), Adam (Kaylin Fritts), Kayla (Jay Loschke), Megan Bitler, Evan Slayden, Stephanie (Kolten Harshbarger), Sawyer Slayden, Reed Slayden, Chloe Rickman and Sydney (Kameron Hampton); his great grandchildren, Aubrey Whitsell, Makenna Whitsell, Allyson Cummings, Addelynn Cummings, Tatum Blanco, Lauren Fritts, Easton Layman and Jaxon Gorden; his siblings, Dan (Carol Bitler) of Eureka and Dorothy (Richard Hayes) of Congress, Arizona; and his brother-in-law James Beitz of Eureka.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Greenwood County Hospital Foundation-Pulmonary Rehab Department or to the Sacred Heart Altar Society.
