He was predeceased by: his parents, Omar Earl and Marjorie Elaine Jackson (Winters); and his brother Bill Jackson. He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Jo Hobson; his children, Kendall Jackson of Dodge City, Kansas, Deanna Colangelo (Jackson) of Rosalia, Kansas, Kelsey Jackson of Hutchinson, Kansas, Bethany Bonomini (Jackson) of El Dorado, Kansas, Jayme Kingsley (Jackson) of Augusta, Kansas and Jill Licht (Jackson) of Andover, Kansas; and his siblings, Joyce Gilliland of Ladson and Larry Jackson of Chino Valley, Arizona.. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; several great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made to the American Heart Association.
