He was predeceased by: his parents, Sven Beitz and Mabel Beitz (Olson); his wife Barbara Mae Bitler; his son-in-law Darrek Klahr; his grandson Garrett Klahr; and his siblings, John Christian Beitz and Gurina Beitz.
He is survived by: his children, Inga Klahr of Wetmore, Tracy (Melissa Beitz) of Eureka and Jason (Tara Beitz) of Eureka; and his grandchildren, Trevor Klahr, Kendall Beitz and Kolby Beitz.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Eureka Wrestling Club or to Greenwood County Home Health.
