She was predeceased by: her parents, Burlin Faye and Fern Elizabeth Gaffney (Scroggins); her husband Jack Dean Shirley; and her sisters, Doris Fae Patterson and Virginia Morain Rice-Sowder.
She is survived by: her nieces and nephews, Lloyd Rice, Jr. of Eureka, Burlin Patterson of California, Ann Marshall of Washington, Missouri and Karen Bentley of Hamilton; and her stepdaughter Jackie Shirley of Eureka.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made to the Christian & Congregational Church.
