He was predeceased by: his parents, James Albert and Rosa Ethelda Watson (Atkinson); his wife Karen Louise Kennedy; and his brothers, John Watson, Richard Watson and Mark Watson.
He is survived by: his children, James (Nancy Watson) of Eureka, Brian (Kristin Watson) of Abingdon, Maryland and Jennifer (Matthew Peterson) of Clay Center. He is also survived by five grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the American Heart Association.
