He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Pyle and Cecilia Pyle (Lacy); his wife Alberta Schopper; and his siblings, Robert Pyle, William "Bill" Pyle, Jack Pyle, Jim Pyle, Edward Pyle, Marie Rodina, Catherine Alango, Rita O'Malley and Bernadette Kostelac.
He is survived by: his children, Rose House (Dave) of Eudora, Bernadette Fulks (Roger) of Eudora, Roberta Lehmann (Dirk) of Eudora, Joseph Pyle (Andrea), Edward Pyle (Mary) of Lenexa, KS, Patrick Pyle (Sandy) of Olathe, KS and Thomas "Tommy" Pyle. He is also survived by 34 grandchildren; 45 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Old Holy Family Catholic Church Restoration or to St. Theresa's Society and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary, 120 W. 13th Street, Lawrence, KS 66044.
