He is survived by: his wife Devra Hamlet; his children, Joshua Hamlet and Eliza; his son-in-law Thadd Hale; and his grandson Elijah Hamlet. He is also survived by his two brothers; and nephew and niece.
In lieu of flowers the family has suggested memorials to the Pittsburg State University Foundation, Inc. for the Dr. Peter and Lucetta Hamlet Scholarship.
