He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernst Sanderson and Margueritte "Dollie" Sanderson (Byrne); and his brother Goulding. He is survived by: his nieces, Kathleen, Denise and Marietta; and his nephew Michael.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Salem United Methodist Church, Newton, KS.
