He is survived by: his children, Josh Piersall (Jamie), Jerimy Piersall (Emily), Jennifer Harding (Heath) of Erie and Lindsay Ritter (Cody) of Rogersville, MO; and his siblings, Dan Gates (Jeanette) of Wichita, Alan Gates (Kathy) of Wichita and Vonda Amundson of Anthony.
The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the American Legion Post # 170 of Chanute for the Honor Flight Fund.
