John Rahe Sr. Obituary
ERIE KANSAS: John Paul Rahe Sr, age 70, passed away at 3:20 pm, Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center, Chanute, KS following an illness. Mr Rahe was born January 21, 1948 in Butler, MO. His parents were Paul H and Betty (Haire) Rahe. He had lived in Erie the past 6 years moving from Weir, KS.
He lived most of his life in Crawford and Cherokee KS counties. He retired from MSP Security in 2013. Among his interests were fishing, auctions, yard sales, and spending time with his grandkids. Surviving are two sons, Corey D Rahe, Erie and John P Rahe Jr, Weir, KS; one step son, Randy Schneider, Amarillo, TX; and 7 grandchildren, Cameron Srague, Caleb Ewan, Ethan Ewan, Eron Ewan, Lilly Rahe, Caty Rahe, and Nathanial Rahe.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, John Joseph Rahe, 2 sisters, Mary Thuma and Martha Rahe, and one nephew, Donald Thuma. He was entrusted to Derfelt Funeral Home, Oswego, KS for cremation. No services are planned at this time. Contributions in his memory may be made to the Kansas Cancer Center, Chanute, KS.
