He was predeceased by : his parents, Elgie Olen and Wilma Christine Sprague (Gardner); his wife Kathy; his son James Petty; and his siblings, Tom Sprague, Karen Totman, Sharon Webb, Dorothy Fry and Darlene Archer.
He is survived by : his children, Gina Lewis of Bartelsville, Bob Burk (Alicia) of Pittsburg, Edward Sprague, Jr. of Independence, Tammy Rahe (Corey) of Erie and Tiffany Sprague of Chanute, Kansas; and his siblings, Dee Etta Redmon of Pittsburg, Kansas, Elgie Olen Sprague Jr., Fort Scott, Donald B. Sprague of Tularosa and Byron Sprague of Tularosa. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
